Dr. Blievernicht and staff are the REAL thing. I've suffered with chronic back pain for 15 years. I've seen every type of specialist, a couple of whom were quite good. NONE compare to Dr. Blievernicht. Too often, he the doctor we turn to when all else fails. Do yourself a favor: see Dr. B - now. Don't ask your current doctors about prolotherapy - chances are they don't understand the nature or effectiveness of such treatments, much less by as knowledgeable and skilled a physician as Dr B. He and Suzanne have sincere compassion for their patients and commitment to their overall well-being. Their treatment addresses the body as a whole - which is likely why many of us find ourselves there, having failed to heal in an environment where the body is sub-divided. Don't get me wrong – I will see a neurosurgeon for a brain tumor; however, if what you need doesn't fit into a neat medical box, make your appointment. In fear of writing a review that sounds contrived, there are a few things to consider: 1) If you believe medical treatment best comes from big buildings and impersonal staff, it may be an adjustment going to their office, which is adjacent to their home. I find this comforting. 2) If you cannot understand why a physician would eschew being beholden to your insurance company when treating you, I’d say this was money well-spent for medical treatment because I’m not paying for him to spend time trying to get reimbursed for services. Their time is 100% spent trying to heal me and I spend my own time getting reimbursed. 3) If you think a great doctor is someone you need to sit in a waiting room for an hour to see, I’d tell you they value your time as much as their own; 4) If you fear this approach is too “new-agey,†I’d assure you it’s based on established medical science. Bottom line: these people are healers - the highest rating I can give one in a medical profession.
