Dr. Yu grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of Miami, where she completed a honor's program in medicine (accelerated 6-year combined Bachelors of Science in Biology and Degree in Medicine).
After completing her residency in Family Medicine at Tufts University, Dr. Yu worked as a family physician at Signature Healthcare in southeastern Massachusetts for over 20 years. While at Signature, she served as an Associate Chief of Primary Care and Associate Medical Director of her organization's ACO (Accountable Care Organization) where she focused on quality of care and patient satisfaction. Dr. Yu also served as the Vice President of Signature Medical Group's Board of Directors.
She has been a clinical instructor for Tufts Department of Family Medicine and she served as a preceptor to the Brockton Hospital Transitional Residency Program.
