I went in for Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery and woke up to eleven incisions in my abdomen. I don't know what is minimally invasive about that except maybe the 1-3" incisions.
Four months later I have three hernias. The original hernia and one on the left where an instrument went in (I believe this incision was cut through a previous incision) and one of the eight incisions (yes 8) on the right side. Now I need a Transversus Abdominis Release and that ain't good.
