She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey in 2006 and served as Chief Resident from 2006-2007. After residency, Dr. Kucine completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the combined program of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). At MSKCC, she served as Special Fellow, looking at new therapeutic agents for high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). In 2015 Dr. Kucine received her Master's Degree in Clinical and Translational Investigation studying Myeloproliferative Disorders in children.At Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Kucine, who is also the Charles, Lillian, and Betty Neuwirth Clinical Scholar in Pediatric Oncology, is focused in two research areas: 1) blood clotting disorders, and 2) a rare group of bone marrow disorders called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN). Dr. Kucine leads the?Pediatric Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Program at Weill Cornell Medicine, a comprehensive clinical and research program that seeks to gain knowledge regarding the causes of myeloproliferative neoplasms, better understand the outcomes in children, and identify better treatment options for young patients with these diseases.
