Overall, great

My shoulder tear was diagnosed initially as a labrum tear. However, I also had a rotator cuff tear that was discovered during surgery. The labrum tear was also more significant (full 360 degree) than initially thought to be. That said, I have recovered quickly. I was back to work in less than a week and have regained full range of motion by week 12. Thank you for giving me my shoulder back. I truly appreciate it.

At 6 weeks on my first acl reconstruction with a different doctor I was preparing to go into another surgery; at six weeks with Dr. Trenhaile, I'm full weight bearing and further along in therapy than I could have ever imagined.

Dr. Trenhaile and Dr. Gilbertson were very thorough and gave us peace of mind during the entire process. Although, we don't want to return anytime soon due to an injury, we would only return here. Much appreciation to the entire staff and everyone's concern.

I expected the hour long wait time from when I treated at OI 2 years ago. I came ready with my computer to waste time. By the time I walked from reception to the waiting area I was being called by the xray person. Before my computer could load I was called back to the physician area. Before I logged in to the my computer the doctor was seeing me, I was out the door in 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.

I am incredibly impressed by the experience that I have had at Ortho Illinois. From my first visit at Ortho Express to surgery to recovery and therapy, the care has been beyond excellent. Phenomenal

Surgery was easy, it could not have gone any better, despite the fact that a more extensive repair was necessary. Not a lot of pain after surgery, only took pain killers for 8 hours after. Recovery was very fast, am not even at 3 months yet and i am able to play hockey at a high level, and golf too.

I experienced a very serious shoulder injury in September, 2015 while on a business trip to Atlanta. I had fallen and had struck a wall with my shoulder and immediately experienced severe pain at the moment of impact. I was unable to move my arm due to the snapping of my rotator cuff tendons. I chose to come back to Rockford to OrthoIllinois to see another surgeon that had previously repaired my other rotator cuff injury. That surgeon performed a surgery in March 2016 and was unable to repair the injuries I had sustained on my right shoulder. I was referred Dr. Scott Trenhaile and was told that he could do a "patch" of the rotator cuff. I met Dr. Trenhaile in his exam room in May. He was kind and understanding as I told him what had happened. He reviewed the x-rays, MRI and medical files and then explained that my rotator cuff tear was worse than I had expected! He told me that he could do a procedure that could repair the massive tear and it would ultimately restore movement to my right arm. Dr. Trenhaile performed the specialty procedure in December 2016! He and his surgical team did a fabulous job in that Saint Anthony surgical room. I am so pleased with the post-surgical medical care I have received from him and his entire staff!! He has followed up with me in his office and today I have graduated from his care. Today I can proudly announce that I am without the continuous and severe paid that I had and my range of motion is almost back to normal! I will continue working on my physical therapy at home. Because of Dr. Scott Trenhaile's excellent skills and treatment, my quality of life has improved beyond what I ever dreamed! I will forever be grateful to you! Thank you so very much!

He was very concerned on a primal level about my pain and shoulder injury. He paid close attention to my descriptions and accurately diagnosed the injury. The surgery was quick and concise. I have no complaints about any part of this journey.
