Excellent patient rapport. He is a very good doctor to my mother, respectful patient clear doesn't rush, and the logical choice for me when I needed an eye doctor. No regrets, only positive encounters. Dr Cowan is awesome.

Always thorough and courteous. Today had to wait longer than usual. And had a bad experience with Lab Ass. by the name of “T”. She refused to give her full name. She was rough and rude and not friendly at all. Either she was in a bad mood or she’s the wrong person for this job.

I was having issues with my left eye and being a diabetic I was scared
Dr Cowan listened to to what I was experiencing and the anxiety I felt. He looked at my eyes and sent me to have different tests right in his office and reassured me that I would be ok. He had a plan for me and I am following his instruction to assure my eyes stay healthy. I recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Cowan is a wonderful doctor, but since Sight MD took over and instituted a new system the wait time for every visit is unacceptably long!
I have been using Dr. Cowan for many years. He is thorough, explains everything very well and always answers questions patiently. His staff is also excellent. However, under this new system instituted by Sight MD, what used to be an extremely efficiently run office is now horrible! Each visit is 1 1/2 to 2 hours with many patients complaining about this new wait. A simple eye exam for a new prescription took over an hour! (It was early in the morning with no emergencies and it wasn’t even crowded) Please fix this ridiculous system because I do not want to find another doctor but I will not continue to sit there for two hours watching the poor staff run in circles with each patient. More unnecessary time is wasted as they escort each patient from one room to the waiting room to another exam room then back to the waiting room to the next room….. (and this isn’t only in the case of special testing, ie FOV) Plus, please consider elderly patients who have trouble walking!

Dr. Cowan is an excellent doctor
I first went to Dr. Cowan around 16 years ago with a condition that required an ophthalmologist. He helped with that issue and many others (besides annual checkups). I trust him implicitly and always appreciate his professionalism and congenial personality.
