Dr. Carew seems to be very hands-on in how he runs his practice. He personally returns phone messages left by patients and will always try to fit you into his schedule on short notice if the issue is urgent.
Like many doctors, he does work quickly but if you come prepared with a list of questions for him, he will take the time to answer them.
He seems deft and confident in his examinations and diagnoses and isn't afraid to let you know if something is outside his normal area of expertise.
Dr. Carew is not the type of doctor who's cracking jokes and trying to be your new best friend (which is fine with me); he keeps things strictly professional and focused on the reason for your visit. So those who prefer a chatty, super-friendly doctor may not be the best match for Dr. Carew, but if you're serious about getting a fast and efficient expert opinion from a highly-qualified doctor, he's a great option.
His office is modern and clean and his staff were generally polite and easy to work with.
