She then decided to transition from the bench to the bedside, and embarked on her career in medicine by attending Saba University School of Medicine. She was immediately drawn to the field of internal medicine, and feeling a kinship to the people of Brooklyn, attended residency at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, the same hospital she volunteered at as a teenager. Dr. Hanna will continue to serve the people of Brooklyn as a primary care physician at NYP Brooklyn Methodist, with focus on preventive care.
