While pursuing her M.D. from Cornell University, Dr. McKenney was a member of the Weill Cornell Board of Overseers, and was awarded the Elise Strang L?Esperance Prize in Public Health for her dedication to global health education. She earned a Ph.D. for her work in translational oncology and cancer biology at the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; this work resulted in several high impact publications that have built the foundation for ongoing acute myeloid leukemia clinical trials. She additionally holds an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. McKenney is dedicated to improving her patients' health and quality of life through minimally invasive techniques, and she is committed to improving patient care through research and education. She has received funding from the NIH and the RSNA to advance her work in translational and radiological research. She has contributed to the editorial boards for the RadioGraphics and the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. She is an active member of the Society for Interventional Radiology (SIR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), American College of Radiology (ACR), and American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS).
