Dr. Pamela Alvarez, MD

Dr. Alvarez is by far the best in the business. She and her offics staff were terrific. Our 18 yr old son had double vision, blurred vision and bouncy vision. We had been through many tests, and after several Doctor appointments, an MRI MRA, Opthamologist appointment to fully test his vision, and finally Dr. Alvarez. At our 9 am appointment she ordered him back in 2 hours for Spinal Tap. She called us at 8 pm that evening to tell us he had A septic menengitis. He is fine now, thanks to her deli...

Big thanks to Dr. Alvarez. After being poked and prodded for over 1.5 yrs with no definitive diagnosis, she was able to finally give me answers about what was happening to me. None of my other doctors even thought about referring me out for a MRI. During first visit, I explained all my symptoms to her and she immediatley had a clue as to my disease. The MRI confirmed it and to be absolutely sure, she suggested a 2nd MRI or spinal tap. I elected the latter and now have my diagnosis - MS. Tho...

The doctor is very nice. However, it takes literally weeks if not more to get an appt. Even for current patients! She misdiagnosed me, which led to 6 months of being on a steroid. It affected me SO much, I ended up in the hospital for a few days. Now, she asks if I've ever been tested for something else, since the steroid didn't work. In the end, she has no idea what's wrong. I'm looking for a new doc that might have a clue!

Dr Alvarez cares for my family member and the definitive word is CARE. I have been exposed to more doctors than I care to even imagine and Dr Alvarez stands head and shoulders above the crowd. She has gone out of her way to make sure we get the care and attention necessary and has done so with compassion and warmth. I do not know what we would do without her.
