Dr. Hughes was investigated twice by the Texas Medical Board for poor record-keeping and unsafe practices. He is currently on 2-year probation requiring a physician to monitor his practice. He also must complete 30 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) within one year, and has to pass the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Exam within one year.
