After fellowship Dr. Saxena worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Sloan Kettering Institute of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where his research focused on the study of exosomes. He returned to Weill Cornell Medical College in 2015 to join the faculty?of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology in their Thoracic Oncology program.Dr. Saxena's clinical and research interests have been?in the study and management of different forms of lung cancer. He currently?treats patients with non-small cell and?small-cell lung cancers, mesothelioma, thymoma, and sarcomas of the lung. He is involved in both clinical and laboratory research, collaborating with physicians and scientists at Weill Cornell as well as?other institutions.
