He completed his general surgical residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and a two year NIH research fellowship at the University of Minnesota where he earned a degree in Master of Science in experimental surgery. His research interests include prosthetic bypass graft modifications, improved techniques in bypass and venous surgery, coagulation management in vascular surgery and diseases, outcomes analyses in aortic, endovascular and peripheral vascular surgery and surgical education and training He is board certified in vascular surgery and general surgery. He is Director of the Vein disorder Treatment Center and Director of Columbia University Medical Student Surgical Education.
