Dr. Ruth Myers, MD

Several years ago I was going through a lot of emotional trauma. I was taken to Dr. Myers by my general health care provider and She was able to figure out what I was dealing with and helped me and my family with several issues in my life. I was accused of emotionally hurting a student and I had not, but Dr. Myers helped me to understand why I suffered an emotional trauma myself and got me back on the road to recovery. During this time, our youngest son battled cancer and lost, as well as my own illness, and the death of our oldest son in the same year as our youngest son's death. emotionally I had been through hell and she helped me find my way again. With different medications and balance of diet, and sessions, I was able to hold what I had left together and climb out of a very dark pit. Even though I now live several hundred miles away, I will travel back to see her as she is very accomplished and knows what she is doing in her line of health care.

Dr Meyers grants me unconditional acceptance and is a great listener. She has a genuine concern for my well-being and works hard to help me manage multiple symptoms. On many occasions she's exceeded the time allotted for my appointment (without any extra compensation). Furthermore, she has a diverse background and is an adept clinician. I appreciate her individualized approach to medicine; she has an appreciation for individual differences and doesn't operate through the lens of rigid ideolo...

While I will give credit where it is due, I consider Dr. Myers to be a knowledgeable Dr. in the field of psychiatry. She provided new options of medications and treatments to help my client with some extreme behavioral issues. A new medication was prescribed and it was not well-received by my client...in fact, new awful behaviors began! I am not blaming Dr. Myers for the medication not being effective for my client; however, her lack of compassion for these new behaviors were evident today. ...
