I met Dr. Tawfik at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, where I was admitted to the ER for an emergency appendectomy. I was scared and anxious. He was calm and kind and explained the procedure and risks and benefits associated with an appendectomy. He listened to my concerns and patiently answered each of my questions.
