    Horrible Experience

I was seen in the ER for sob, chest pain, headache due to saddle pulmonary embolism. Horrible bedside manner and didn't care I was in pain and uncomfortable. 1st thing he said was I needed a psychiatrist and would only give me tylenol for pain. My discharge ppwrk stated my primary diagnosis was "drug seeking" which was billed to insurance. I plan to file a grievance with the hospital. That's how bad my experience was. I feel sorry for anyone who had the same thing.

Worse experience with a doctor. Point Blank!

It was a big snow fall, so therefore all doctor offices were closed. So I decided to go to ER BC, I was in excruciating pain from herniated lumbar causing severe sciatic pain. He rushed in the room, barely touched my back, and said there is nothing I can do. I made the mistake of saying I had to been to so many doctors, but I meant it in a whole different context. I am a mother of 2 boys who are always sick, so I feel like I live in a doctors office. In addition I had been to my PCP, physical therapy (2 different places), Orthopedic, Dentist (so to me, I feel like I have been to a lot of doctors). But once that came out of my mouth, he just cut me off. He didn't ask where the pain was, how it was radiating, had I had any imaging done, or even mention my extremely high blood pressure (which was 156/116, when I checked in at triage). I was and am at my wits end with all of this pain. The pain has been constant for at least 4 months now, and I am one who can take pain. But not any more. I just wanted help and reassurance that I am on the right path by seeing an orthopedic. The ER was not busy, so that is no excuse, and technically I shouldn't have been able to leave BC my blood pressure was so elevated. He gave me no chance to ask questions or anything. No instructions to help alleviate the pain. I felt like I was just taking his time and space up. I did follow up with my PCP the following day, due to my bp, which was NOT suggested by this doctor, and it had come down (thank goodness)! The reason being, was because I was in excruciating pain. So now I'm wondering why even go to the ER again, BC apparently they don't care about a persons well being! Mental or Physical!
