Dr. Karra is a miracle worker!
I am a pianist and at some point my hand started loss feeling on the left side. This is referred to as Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, and is usually related to some disruption of the ulnar nerve in the elbow. I saw a Surgeon at the Curtis Hand Institute in Baltimore, and a Neurologist in Silver Spring, MD - and surgery was recommended within the year to move the ulnar nerve out of the way of whatever was obstructed. They could give me no assurance of how well my nerves would recover. Enter Dr. Karra - on our first meeting he listened to my complete situation and began working on the problem. He informed that yes - the damage was bad and yes - it would take time, but that he felt he could rejuvenate my hand without invasive surgery. As I mentioned I'm a pianist so I was concerned about taking the scalpel to any of my precious finger/nerve parts! We began sessions at twice a week and little by little, though his treatments and advice, my hand began to revive steadily over the course of about 6 months. Yes, it takes time and patience, but I really feel like the core of the problems has been addressed, and that I have been given the knowledge to maintain the health of my hand - which to me is what real recuperation is all about. Aside from the professional and successful experience I've had with Dr. Karra, he has become a good friend and positive influence in my life, which is invaluable as well. He is always available, always warm and inviting, and well, these days finding a health specialist that truly cares and takes the time to show it is a rare gem! I highly recommend Bahaa!
