Her childhood family physician became her mentor and she worked with him in the clinic and on house calls throughout high school and on college breaks until she started medical school. In medical school, she fell in love with dermatology.
    Bend keeps Dr. Neuhaus and her family very busy and engaged – on the water and golf courses in the summer, and on the mountain in the winter.

    Dr. Neuhaus received her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Oregon. She was then accepted to Oregon Health Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine where she was invited to join the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society her junior year based on academic achievement. Dr. Neuhaus graduated summa cum laude, first in her medical school class.

    After medical school, she completed a transitional year at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. She then returned to OHSU Department of Dermatology for residency and was honored to serve as chief resident her final year.
