He is a member of ASCO's (American Society of Clinical Oncology) clinical guideline committee. He is on the Advisory Guideline Group to the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee for ASCO. Dr. Provenzano is board certified in Medical Oncology and is up to date in MOC (maintenance of certification). In addition, he has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and has interests in the applications of mathematics and physics to oncology diagnostics and treatment.In addition to what is previously listed he has a special interest in cancer genetics, immunotherapy, and basic science applications for cancer diagnostics and treatment. Dr. Provenzano is also the chairman of the Cancer Committee at New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and has assisted in attaining and maintaining the accreditation of our Cancer Program.
