In addition to his interests in kidneydisease, he is also a member of the Columbia Doctors Hypertension Center, amulti-disciplinary center of excellence that provides high-quality care andstate-of?the-art diagnostic testing for patients with hypertension. Dr. Stevens is also a dedicated medical educator and wasrecognized with an Internal Medicine Senior Resident Teaching Award atMassachusetts General Hospital, the Columbia University Kimberg MemorialFaculty Teaching Award, and as a Columbia University Ewig Clinical Scholar andwas inducted into the Virginia Apgar Academy of Medical Educators at ColumbiaVP&S. He serves as the Associate Course Director for the Renal Physiology& Pathophysiology Course at the medical school, as the Associate Program Directorfor the Columbia University Internal Medicine Residency Program, and as anAdvisory Dean for medical students at Columbia Vagelos College of Physiciansand Surgeons.
