ENGLISH: Dr. Tracey Isidro is a Sports Medicine and non-interventional spine physician in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Isidro is double-board certified in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and completed her sports medicine fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine. After graduating from Rice University, she attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch where she was Vice President of her class and an Interprofessional Scholar. She did an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott & White and completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the then #7 program in the nation Baylor College of Medicine and trained at the then #2 U.S. News and World Report rehabilitation hospital TIRR Memorial Hermann. Dr. Isidro was awarded Top Doctor?s Women in Medicine Award in 2022 for being a Top Sports Medicine doctor in New York. The Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) selected her for the 2022 McLean Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award, the top national award that is historically given to one trainee for their dedication to medical education, research, academic performance, and leadership. While at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Isidro was the only trainee to receive the 2021 Women of Excellence Award for her contributions related to developing a leadership curriculum for women physiatrists. Further, she held leadership roles with AAP and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and was the only resident in the nation from 2018-2019 to serve on the trainee councils of both national organizations.
