Amazing!
When I was brought into the OR, Dr Altschul, proceeded to explain that I was about to have an angiogram for tumor embolism before surgery. By the time she was done, I was completely at ease and confident about this procedure. Dr Altschul was truly amazing!

Dr Altschul saved my life
… and prevented any negative impact on the quality of my life.
I had a blood clot in my brain - I was having a stroke! In less than 2 hours after arriving at Valley ER , Dr. Altschul & her team had me in surgery.
I am so grateful Dr Altschul was at Valley that day. A week later I was in her office where she explained in detail (with images) the procedure and reiterated procedures & tests I need to find the cause of the massive incident.
Thanks to Dr Altschul I have quality time with my family. My life, so far, isn’t too short.

Great doctor, great staff!!!
This doctor is outstanding!!!
My wife and I were very nervous about this appointment but she came highly recommended. Dr Altschul certainly did not disappoint.
She was so professional yet so compassionate. Dr Altschul explained everything with such simplicity that we finally really understood my problem and where it is in my brain.
We are very confident our plan of care is the best for the time being. She laid out a course of conservative action for now but explained the next step if necessary.
Her staff is also so kind and very professional.
I could not recommend her more highly!

After a most proficient process of getting patient to doctor in good time. The patient was more than fortunate to have had Dr. Altschul available, to complete the success of this patient's (a stroke victim) event.
Dr. Altschul met with me after her surgery of removing a clot from the brain of the patient. She was very personable & professional..took the time to show me the condition before & after surgery, with clear explanation. She was reassuring, but of course mentioned there are never guarantees..Well. I have to say the patient made marked improvement in days..Remarkable..The only problem, if you call it a problem, in the scope of things of what could have been is..his speech pattern..which varies from ok to quivering. I'm sure that will be restored like all else has. Rave reviews for this wonderful person. Oddly, enough another person we know, who was treated the SAME DAY, by her also had more rave reviews for her..God and she are a great team....ETERNALLY GRATEFUL. JOHN LAW

Ample time spent during office visits
Dr. Altschul took the time to explain and answer questions regarding two different diagnostic imaging tests. She recognizes that no two patients have identical medical and personal circumstances, so taking the time to know a patient well is very important to me. She was also open about the relative risks and benefits of potential treatments.

I first must express my appreciation to Lilian Oyola, Dr. Altschul’s assistant. She helped me every step of the way, always in a prompt and professional manner. This was my first virtual appointment and getting everything to her that she needed was a definite challenge for me!
Dr. Altschul was as wonderful as she always is. She calmed me down, discussed the results of my MRA, gave me my options. I did not feel rushed...it was almost as good as being in the office with her. I highly recommend her, she’s the best!

Dr. Altschul is an amazing, knowledgeable doctor. My husband had a ruptured brain aneurysm and was rushed to the ER. Due to COVID-19 I had to remain at home by the phone. She called after her evaluation and advised me that he would need surgery to implant coils to stop the bleeding. She explained everything about the procedure which she was about to perform in terms I could understand. As soon as the procedure was done she called to advise me that it was successful and he was alert. Dr. Altschul gave me daily updates and walked me through what she referred to as “the four mountains he needed to climb”. Her calmness and honesty got me through each day. Dr.Altschul is a highly-skilled Neurosurgeon who is very trustworthy and compassionate. She is a true miracle worker and we are forever grateful to her

The best doctor who is genuine and excellent at what she does
I was very fortunate to find Dr. Altschul.
She is not only caring and genuine, but also very knowledgeable and is a great surgeon.
She is a very good listener and answered all my questions before and after the surgery (never rushing me or brushing my questions aside) and also at the follow-up visits.
You can really tell that she has the experience and knowledge to be a good surgeon and she really cares about her patients and loves what she does.
