Dr.?Becker?completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He subsequently completed his adult psychiatry residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital, where he participated in clinical and educational initiatives through the global mental health track. He then completed a clinical fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian?s combined program at Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University, an NIMH R25-supported Shaffer Scholars research fellowship, and served as a chief fellow for research in his final year. His research has focused on child and adolescent psychiatric epidemiology, development of stigma interventions and synthesis of clinical evidence. Dr.?Becker?is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), where he is involved with development of clinical practice guidelines in child psychiatry as an active member of the Committee on Quality Issues.
