When I was diagnosed with myelodysplasia at age 52 (a rare bone marrow cancer usually found in the >60 age range) I was thrilled to learn that there was a doctor that specialized in management & treatment & research of it in Denver. I was terrified by everything I’d read. On my initial visit with him the first thing he said was “forget about everything you’ve read, it doesn’t apply to you because you are in your 50’s”. He then explained it and truly listened to me. He’s amazing & really cares!
