I was transferred from another hospital after hip surgery, then 7 more surgeries over 3+ wks to stop a serious staph infection that almost killed me. My surgeon & Dr. Hawkinson worked together to eliminate the staph. Explained what they were going to do clearly. The surgery was super successful On antibiotics for a year, lab work every 2-3 months. That was almost 2 years ago. Wouldn't go to anyone but him for staph again! Having surgery this year and he will definitely be one of my doctors.
