The kind of Dr we all hope for
Dr. Hughes was recommended to me by a friend and I was skeptical. Not all of my care experiences in the past have been great.
I took a chance and made an appointment at his office, and I am so glad that I did. My health has been steadily improving because of his care. He’s professional, knowledgeable and very smart…but also warm, kind and funny.
There’s something to be said for looking forward to going to the drs office. I can’t say enough good things about this office. Outstanding, personalized care that never feels rushed.

Finally found treatment that works
I've been suffering from severe migraines for 10 years. A friend of mine suggested I try something different from the traditional medical therapy I had been doing. I first saw Dr. Hughes during an extended migraine attack and he provided immediate relief as well as an ongoing treatment plan. It was great to finally work with a doctor who listened to me and took my care seriously. I saw many doctors prior to Dr. Hughes and all they did was prescribe medication that didn't work but left horrible side effects. Dr. Hughes has been a game changer to my quality of life. I finally feel that I am on the path to no more migraines.

Highly beneficial
Although the supplements and 2X daily coffee enemas were daunting, the results over the past two months have been well worth doing all of the protocols. The coffee enemas were time consuming and very awkward. The least favorite of all the recommendations, but I believe one of the most beneficial. Dr. Hughes knowledge and expertise was the only thing that helped me after a year long battle with multiples health issues. I'm very grateful to continue to improve with his help.

Dr. John Hughes saved me from the operating table.
Partial tear to both my meniscuses from a hockey injury. I had surgery scheduled for both knees until I was introduced to Dr. John and the kickass staff at Aspen Integrative medicine. Cancelled the surgeries and scheduled PRP injections for both knees. Can't express how grateful I am that I ditched the scalpel and went with the needle. I was back up and playing after a month. Dr. John saved me from MONTHS of rehab and crutches. Can not recommend this place enough, they take care of you!

Dr Hughes and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Dr Hughes is very patient and listens carefully. He explores and talks to you about all options available. I love the personalized and individualized therapies he creates for each patient. Medicine is not a 1 size fits all approach and Dr Hughes goes above and beyond to make sure the patient is taken care of.

T.B.I treatment
After a wreck at my farm, I spent 16 days in the hospital with 3 broke vertebra and a bad TBI. The TBI was mal treated during my stay at the hospital. Noticing cognitive decline at 3 & 1/2 years, I sought treatment with DR Hughes. His treatment included HBOT, intranasal treatment, diet & supplement changes. His treatments seemed focused on enabling my brain to heal itself. The effects of his treatments made a huge impact on my functionality. I fully reccommend Dr Hughes

Headache relief
I worked with Dr. Hughes after a concussion left me with lingering headaches, fatigue and what felt like a cloudy brain.
The typical protocol with a concussion is rest in order to allow the brain to heal. This can take quite a bit of time and patience.
Dr Hughes has a cutting edge, progressive approach that drives quicker results and works in partnership with his patients and left me with a better understanding how to continue to develop on-going brain health.

A true healer and the best Doctor - incorporating the best of Eastern and Western Medic=
He has become a trusted Doctor, friend, and has been there for myself and children for eight years. John saved me from another spinal fusion after I was told that a year after two of the top spinal surgeons is the US told me I needed another fusion a years after my first. Dr. Hughes has kept me pain free for eight year, I have not had to have another fusion and am pain free. There is no another Doctor I could recommend with this level of patient care, knowledge on the cutting edge of all new techniques.

An outstanding doctor who is widely knowledgeable
Over the course of a lifetime, one experiences many in the medical profession. Dr Hughes "stands head and shoulders" above others, not only his knowledge and willingness to listen, but his practical approach to a situation. I feel "safe" with him. I have recently been getting chelation treatments. Unlike so many medical professionals, he finds my small veins easily and really doesn't hurt as much as usual. Dr. Hugh's staff member, Tanya, is also a pleasure.

Rye Cooder said you have to suffer if you want to sing the blues!
Yes initially it was uncomfortable. The procedure was explained well and I knew what to expect. No pain meds were needed. Hours later I was feeling a lot better than I expected. I am going to PT twice per week. It is now just short of two week since the procedure and I am feeling better than I have felt in a couple years.
All things considered Dr. Hughs is a ROCK STAR and a bit of a mad a scientist!

Great doctor; cares tremendously about his patients

Stem Cell Therapy for TBI
We went to Colorado in hopes of getting help for my husband's TBI using stem cell therapy in November. Dr. Hughes was very informative and explained everything very well. Tanya was a huge help in coordinating everything from our purchasing an oxygen chamber to scheduling all our appointments while in Basalt. They are very knowledgeable and really seem to care. Dr. Hughes has answered all my emails promptly and has followed up with us since the procedure.

He has kept me off the operating table five times.
I have seen orthopedic surgeons suggesting operating and he has given me PRP shots and kept me off the operating table with these treatments. I have referred people to him and they were unable to: walk, exercise, injuries; knee, hips, backs, necks my referrals keep coming back. I am a sports athlete and he has gotten me back out there doing everything I love.
I continue to refer others to Dr Hughes, he is amazing. He listens to all my concerns and we work together.

Miraculous healing!
I had a 'non healing wound', from a series of surgeries I'd had the last few months. My incision had been draining for months. My surgeon wanted to go back in (surgery #4) ,to see why I wasn't healing. My treatments from Dr. Hughes, and the protocols he recommended have healed my wound! No drainage for several weeks. My surgeon is happily surprised, and I am thrilled and extremely grateful. Dr. Hughes knows what he's doing-he's really smart, and has a lot of great healing tools available , that a main stream doc might not know about.

Dr Hughes helped me figure out what was going on when none of my other physicians had any idea. I was frustrated and sick with no help in sight. He listened to my issues and knew almost immediately what my problems were stemming from. I am now on the mend, feeling a lot better and thankful that I have someone who will listen and help me take care of my health.

His understanding and caring in all aspects of natural healing are so amazing and simply far beyond any other methods and practitioners that I have experienced in my life. Highly educated and very caring!
Dr. Hughes took his time to explain the science behind a variety of healing modalities that he offers. He is incredibly well versed and showed great concern and interest in my well being.
