My experience as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison allowed me to mentor future leaders in ophthalmology and further develop my skills in advanced surgical techniques.
Beyond the operating room, I am passionate about advancing the field of ophthalmology through education, research, and outreach. As Treasurer and Board of Governors member of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AOCOO-HNS), I work to support the growth of our profession and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
I am also deeply committed to global outreach. My mission trips to underserved areas, including Central Asia, Nicaragua, and Honduras, have been among the most rewarding experiences of my career. These efforts are part of my broader vision to address preventable blindness worldwide through education, surgical innovation, and collaboration.
Whether performing a complex glaucoma surgery, teaching the next generation of ophthalmologists, or developing strategic initiatives to expand access to care, I am driven by the belief that vision is one of life's most precious gifts.
