Prior to joining the Alaska Center for Dermatology team in 2005, Dr. Moreland spent 10 years on active duty with the United States Air Force. He was Chief of Dermatology for Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska for more than three years.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Moreland grew up in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center and went on to complete his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a Member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as well as the Dermatology Foundation Leaders’ Society, and the Alaska State Medical Association.
He enjoys taking in Alaska’s great outdoors with his family and some of his favorite activities include hunting, fishing, cooking, and summer bike rides.
