Twenty-six years ago, Dr. Skiles was on call when I came to the E.R. of Penrose Hospital after my water broke at 21 weeks gestation. I have never forgotten that traumatic event and how she calmed me and helped me to understand what was going on and what we had to do--she and I, and all involved--to save his life.
