Dr. Simpson's specialized training in fetal echocardiography complements her expertise in prenatal diagnosis. She performs invasive fetal procedures such as chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, fetal blood sampling, and others required in complex cases, including, fetoscopy and laser photocoagulation for twin-twin transfusion syndrome. Dr. Simpson has served on the board of directors for the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, and was a recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award in 2010.
