After medical school, he was an attending physician at the Bellevue Hospital Medical Clinic and started and ran an inpatient medical service for the clinic?s hospitalized patients. ?Prior to joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Pitaro was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and practiced internal medicine and primary care for over 28 years at Murray Hill Medical Group (later Caremount Medical Group). While at Murray Hill, in addition to a full time practice, he served on the executive committee and was the compliance officer. ?He lives in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. ?He is an avid squash player and soccer fan who also enjoys spending time and traveling with his family.
