Dr. Kathleen Shimp, MD

Dr. Shimp is my regular OB/GYN. She has now delivered both of my children and has monitored my pregnancies pretty much from day one; both of my pregnancy experiences have been a joy to have her a part of. She is extremely professional but very kind and caring at the same time. She is my first female doctor that I have found comfort with, which was very hard to find before. I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new doctor. Dr. Shimp was close to my home so I selected her. As I started my visit with the medical assistant I was subjected to incredibly unprofessional music (if you remember the "back that thing up" rap song) while having my blood drawn and medical history taken. Dr. Shimp is a wonderful OBGYN. She delivered my twins via C-Section and handles all my OBGYN needs. She is very caring and makes you feel very comfortable. Her staff of nurses are wonderful as well.

Dr. Shimp was a pleasure to work with. I needed some assistance with gyn issues. She is very professional, gentle, and was not condescending at all. She convinced me to get all my medical appointments up to date. I was very apprehensive before going to her office, but once I met her, she was awesome. I would highly recommend her!
