Dr. Alford is a graduate of Spelman College and earned her medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in 2002. During medical school, Dr. Alford was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and was the recipient of the Emory University School of Medicine Dean’s Scholarship. She was also heavily involved in dermatological research with the Emory Department of Dermatology during medical school. Dr. Alford completed her residency training in dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2006. During her training, Dr. Corrie Alford made several presentations at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Alford is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Atlanta Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
