Dr. Melvin Ashford, MD

I was hit with a few major diagnoses at once and didn't realize how much it could effect women's health overall. There were times where I had honestly given up on the possibility of being without pain until Dr. Ashford had instilled in me that women don't have to just exist with it. Dr. Ashford is the most honest and thoughtful provider I've ever worked with. He explains decision making with clarity and ease without making you feel overwhelmed or small. I'm someone with a boat load of anxiety and Dr. Ashford and the team here at MNWC are truly sensitive to my needs and want to see their patients reach their wellness goals. I'm beyond thankful and wish I could begin to describe the kind of gratitude that comes with that but for now I'd just say thank you so much!

I was admittedly a bit nervous, having never seen a male OBGYN doctor before, but I felt very comfortable with Dr. Ashford, as well as getting a thorough and clear discussion of all my options. I am excited to have found him.

I have had the pleasure of treating with Dr. Ashford for a few years now as he delivered our Children. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and sometimes funny! As I stated above, all of my interactions and treaments received by Dr. Ashford and his staff have been very, very positive. they work in a very timely manner. They ask questions, listen carefully, and perform the treatments, (if necessary) with care and concern for the patient and the patient's welfare. All of their practices are performed in a clean, and hygienic manner. They are very pleasant, and polite to their patients, care about the patient's outcomes and welfare, and very knowledgable. I do have a problem with the question on trust in decision making. I trust the medical decisions they make implicitly. But in general, I don't like when patients interfere with the healthcare professionals' decision with what they think from "the Internet". People in healthcare, especially the doctor have gone to school, for a long time, and worked hard to learn what they know. I have been a patient of Dr. Ashford for about 15 years now and he is always on his game. Sometimes late but that just shows how good he is and how much o a demand he truly is. I love my Dr and I recommend him to all of my friends.

As I stated above Dr Ashford is very thorough with my procedures and exams. I have full trust in his decisions with my health. I am so happy I found this clinic along with Dr Kelly.
