My mother in law cannot write this herself due to neurological disease that ended her life. Dr. Gropen re diagnosed her correctly, after years of another, more famous neurologist\'s diagnosis (he was seen on t.v.) and lack of treatment. Finally she was suffering and dying in the hospital, and the doctor of record would not release her to hospice, due to a hospital administrative loophole. Dr. Gropen stepped in, transferred her care to his case load, discharged her to a hospice physician\'s care. She died at home, where she wanted to be, two days later. Dr. Gropen therefore initially extended the quality of her life and then helped her ultimately unavoidable death occur with her loving family at home, with Hospice professionals on the case.
