I�m also proud of having spearheaded the acquisition of two mobile stroke units for our hospital � another first for our Suffolk County community. These units have increased the timeliness for the delivery of medications, imaging and physician assessment for the treatment of stroke, saving valuable time and brain cells before a patient even gets to the hospital. In the nascent field of neuro-interventional therapies, my work has earned me the reputation as a pioneer in the field for advancing new devices and techniques for the treatment of cerebrovascular disease.
