I believe there have been many lawsuits brought against Ira G. Lown for botched surgeries and for lying about being Board certified. Check out the Texas Medical Board tmb.state.tx.us. They took disciplinary action against Lown for false advertising about being Board Certified when he was not. If there is a way to check out the number of lawsuits brought up against a Doctor, check that out before you undergo any type of surgery.
