Overview
Dr. Mario Carcamo did his undergraduate and graduate work at the prestigious University of California at Berkeley. He then began his career working at the Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, where he held hospital privileges. He had a private practice in Palo Alto, California before moving to south Florida in 1992, where he has been expanding the scope and locations of his practice till present day. He has a certification in Vision clinical research from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. And does research and development work in specialty contact lens, and digital ophthalmic lenses manufacturing. In the recent years he has concentrated his effort in binocular vision, and evaluation and fitting of specialty contact lenses including pediatrics Orthokeratology and Scleral Lenses. . In addition, he is one of the first optometrists to become a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Optometry (ABO), and he has being a member of the American Optometric Association since 1984. He is also a member of #SOSNICARAGUA, and has been involved in many missions to help those in need in third world countries.
