Dr. Robert Gardner Jr was born in Chicago, Illinois, and is a graduate of St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He obtained his medical degree at St. Louis University then completed his training at Washington University-Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Gardner Jr has over ten years’ experience in Neurology, with a special interest in helping patients whose nervous systems have been compromised and may be causing chronic headaches, sleep disorders, movement disorders, stroke, and spasticity. He is a forerunner in using Botox to treat chronic migraine headaches, spasticity, and to help calm involuntary movement and muscle contraction caused by dystonia. Dr. Gardner Jr is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Gardner Jr treats patients at both Saint Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as well as Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. He has a clinic in Sikeston twice a month.
