Overview

"Dr. Gentile is a board-certified vascular surgeon whose practice now focuses entirely on the treatment of venous disease, including venous insufficiency, varicose veins, DVT and venous stasis ulcers. Dr. Gentile was raised in Southern California and graduated with Honors, receiving BS Degrees in both Biochemistry and Biology (Concentration in Anatomy and Physiology) from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. He attended Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Clinical Honors in all rotations. Dr. Gentile completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. He then completed a 2-year fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. After completing his specialty training, he practiced Vascular Surgery in Tucson for five years, where he was on staff at St. Mary's Carondelet Hospitals, Northwest Medical Center and the Tucson Heart Hospital. He moved back to Portland for the Cardiovascular Internalization at Northwest Kaiser Permanente and practiced primarily at the Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital. In his vascular surgery career, he has performedthe entire spectrum of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, including the care of patients with diseases of the aorta, carotid arteries, lower extremity arteries, vascular trauma as well as complex deep and superficial venous disease. In addition, he received an Innovation Grant, developed Kaiser's first Mobile Telemedicine Wound Care Cart, spearheaded Virtual consultations remotely between Wound Care providers and Vascular specialists in the Northwest regions. He has developed an expertise in comprehensive Wound Care and in treating complicated patients with deep venous obstruction and blood clotting in the legs.
