Melvin L. Adler, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in nonoperative management of hip and knee arthritis, adult reconstruction, hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacements. Before joining Montefiore as Director of Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore?s Wakefield Campus and as Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he had a successful private practice for 15 years.After completing military service, Dr. Adler attended medical school at SUNY Syracuse and received his residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Adler is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS).
