I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. Dr. Marvil is an amazingly talented surgeon and has improved my quality of life significantly. I am sorry I did not see him when I first injured my knee and instead had surgery by a different provider. I am impressed by how attentive he is to my concerns and questions. I fully trust his ability and judgement

Excellent- so grateful that I can walk again.
Dr. Marvil is a great doctor, and I'm so grateful that such high quality care is available here in Taos. One year out, I have virtually no restrictions and am getting back to my "normal" activities. He is also a great listener and very kind. Can't say enough, just so very appreciative.

Dr. Marvil is soooo wonderful!!
I had left, anterior hip replacement surgery in 12/2022. Since I am 6 months post op, I want everyone to know how great I feel!! I am able to do all the things I wasn't able to do prior to my surgery. Post op, I had no pain and did not need to go through physical therapy. I did my exercises at home. Dr. Marvil and his staff are awesome. I am a 62 year old RN, and this is my 3rd joint replacement. I love Dr. Marvil and his staff!!!!!! He is the best!!!

The best doctor/hospital experience EVER!
The entire process has been unbelievable. The care, concern and understanding that this doctor provided was like no other. The entire staff is always friendly and kind. They never made me feel rushed, always took the time to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. They even answer the phone!!! I could call anytime with any concern and would get to talk to the doctor. The level of service provided was truly like no other. My recovery was very quick, I was able to play golf 3 weeks after my total hip replacement. I'm about 95% in less than 6 weeks...unbelievable! I highly recommend Dr. Marvil!!!

Stepping out & stepping up.
Total hip replacement, right side. Up & moving with total confidence in the procedure, (due to a clear & concise explanation) & the man holding the blade. His positive mental attitude & the way he presents himself; makes you want to excel. Operated on May 3rd 2022, tying my own shoes within two weeks.

Great surgeon
I've only interfaced with his fellows up to this point as I slept for several hours after the surgery. Despite this, my ACL reconstruction has gone very well overall. I met him for the first time in a follow-up appointment 2.5 months after the initial surgery.

Doctor Marvil is FANTASTIC ! I am a tennis pro and I am great with my new Hip
Doctor Marvil listen to whatever my concerns are, I got my Hip replacement on October 26 and a month Later I was walking in Sao Paulo, Brazil... The Doctor talks to me about getting better, getting fit, my experience with the doctor is great, I am really greatfull to be able to play tennis and have a normal life.

Highly qualified and with a great "bed-side manner!"
Definitely 5 stars all the way. Dr. Marvil did my shoulder reconstruction and right hip replacement. I will be seeing him again in the future for knee replacement. I trust him completely.

Well taken care of an excellent care
Dr. Walthall was my surgeon throughout this injury. I broke my right Tibia and Fibula on December 28th and was brought into the hospital and had to have emergency surgery. Dr. Walthall was my surgeon on the case and met me in the emergency department to explain the procedure to me prior to going into surgery. I was scared and worried but felt taken care of and could not have asked for a better team of surgeons to help me. I have since followed up for the past couple weeks with Dr Walthall and had to have another surgery on January 12th. The surgery was unplanned but was for further irrigation and debridement. While I was nervous to go into another surgery, I was grateful that I was in Dr. Walthall's and Dr. Marvil. While I was discouraged about having to go back into surgery, I knew it was the best to prevent against infection which has been the main concern. I am so grateful for this team of doctors and am so grateful for the care that I have been provided.

tore my acl and had surgery as well as a scope
I was sad when I had to get the scope, but it worked well and i'll be happy to be skiing and hiking again soon.

The hip replacement process was GREAT
Dr. Marvil was so good. He is very personable and explains everything to you I think he and his staff are the best I have ever delt with. Would highly reccomend him hip replacement .
