He has a Master of Arts in religious education and a Master of Arts in marriage and family counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas, along with a Doctor of Philosophy in family therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Dr. Vankorlaar has dedicated his career to providing inpatient and outpatient mental health care in hospital settings, residential placement facilities and community centers.
