Dr. Wajnsztajn-Theil received her medical degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) Faculdade de Medicina in Brazil. She also completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the same institution. She then moved to the United States, where she completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital, earning numerous accolades including the Compassionate Resident, Best Research and Mentor of the Year awards. Dr. Wajnsztajn-Theil is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is proficient in managing a range of procedures and conditions, including ovarian cancer screenings, incontinence, fibroids, postpartum depression, and IUD insertion and removals. Dr. Wajnsztajn-Theil has a comprehensive approach to patient care and carefully considers all aspects of her patient’s health in the interest of properly diagnosing and treating them.
