Laura DiPaolo, MD, is a board-certified family physician dedicated to practicing the full breadth of primary care and caring for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults and seniors. She is skilled in chronic disease management while also focused on preventive medicine and helping patients strive for their best health. Dr. DiPaolos expertise includes women's health issues, contraception, performing sports/school physicals, and nutrition and weight management.As a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health, Dr. DiPaolo enjoys teaching residents and medical students at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her research interests include sleep medicine and aging. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. DiPaolo was a family medicine physician at Shasta Community Health Center in Redding, Calif, where she provided compassionate care to those in medically underserved and vulnerable communities.She completed her family medicine residency training at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Fla. and at the UC Davis Family Medicine Network program in Redding, Calif, where she served as chief resident. Dr. DiPaolo earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. She is board-certified in family medicine.
