Overview
Dr. Soophia Naydenov is a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist who treats pulmonary embolism (PE), pulmonary hypertension, and connective tissue disease related to interstitial lung disease. She leads the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, providing inpatient care for PE patients. Following hospitalization, Dr. Naydenov offers long-term care for PE patients through a dedicated Pulmonary Embolism Clinic–the first of its kind in the region. She collaborates with physicians across the country to advance PE research and develop standards of care through the national PERT Consortium. Dr. Naydenov is anassociateprofessor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
