I am a dedicated community psychiatrist with an extensive experience in public and private Inpatient and outpatient settings, and an experienced psychiatric administrator who continues active clinical practice with seriously mentally ill and dually diagnosed patients. I am also a former Assistant Clinical Professor at UT Medical School. My professionalism, excellent communication, diagnostic skills, and passion for the field of psychiatry are evident in caring and dynamic treatment techniques. I am Board Certified in Psychiatry (Psychiatry and Neurology) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I completed General Adult Psychiatry training at Howard University Hospital. During my General Psychiatry Residency program I was honored with several outstanding Awards: I was honored with the Resident of the Year Award by Washington Psychiatric society, APA; Resident of the Month Award by Howard University Hospital; consecutively for about 2 years. I was honored with Excellence In Community Outreach award by Howard University Hospital. During the course of psychiatry training I worked on a trial investigating “STRIDE”, Control trial of Buprenorphine and primary outcome include HIV and Substance abuse treatment. I also participated in study of “M3 screening”, The 3 Minute Tests of Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, and PTSD. The other study I was involved was in “Assurex” Impact of Gene sight Psychotropic on response to psychotropic Treatment in Major Depressive Disorder.
