Robert A. Weisman, MD, FACS, is a board-certified otolaryngoloist with a strong interest and extensive experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck, surgery of the orbit (eye socket and adjacent structures), trauma of the head and neck, and disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.Dr. Weisman has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. He teaches courses annually on surgery of the orbit and surgery for cancers of the nose and sinuses, and has produced nationally distributed recordings on surgery of the salivary gland and reconstruction of the mandible. He is currently one of the leading members of the combined ENT/endocrine clinic at UC San Diego Health. Here, patients with thyroid and parathyroid disorders are evaluated and treated by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Dr. Weisman administers and participates as an investigator in a number of ongoing clinical trials of new treatments for head and neck cancer.
