Overview
Oscar Saravia, M.D., leads his team of health care professionals at Conviva Care Center Bird Road with a clear focus on patient care and medical excellence. He performed a fellowship in the Division of Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation of St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and a vitreoretinal ophthalmology fellowship at Roosevelt Hospital, in Guatemala. He completed an internal medicine residency at St. Louis University School of Medicine and served an internship at Deaconess Hospital, where he was named Outstanding Intern of the Year. Dr. Saravia earned his medical degree from the National University of Nicaragua School of Medicine in Leon, Nicaragua. His post-graduate medical studies include the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and at the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Saravia is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the Florida Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Miami Academy of Ophthalmology. He has published articles on a variety of topics including acute myelofibrosis and Hodgkin’s disease. In his spare time, Dr. Saravia enjoys golf.
