A strong connection between the physician and the patient allows both to quickly begin the healing process. Colorectal surgery often involves complicated diagnostic efforts which are available when needed. The office specializes in disorders of the anal area, rectum and colon. Our efforts include treatment of hemorrhoids, abscesses (infections) of the anal area, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of common symptoms such as anal itching, pain and bleeding. The resolution of symptoms may require only minimal intervention or lifestyle changes to remove uncomfortable conditions. The colon is the site of various minor and more serious conditions ranging from colon polyps (tissue growths of the colon lining) to colon cancer and inflammatory conditions such as diverticulitis, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The most current diagnostic efforts focus on making a secure diagnosis and then implementing treatments such as laparoscopic colon operations, or minimally invasive hemorrhoidal treatments.
